Casa Pantera – My go-to spot whenever someone asks for the perfect date night or a special event recommendation. Casa Pantera is a hidden gem in the borderland, and it shows with its nearly perfect rating on OpenTable. This Mexican chophouse is known for its top-notch beef, like their ‘gigantic’ tomahawk steak, and the cozy indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of Five Points makes it all the more inviting.
Tonight, we got to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary with a couple of dear friends. I can’t believe I hadn’t taken my husband here before, so it felt great to finally make it happen. I got to share the incredible food and atmosphere with people I love. It was a night full of laughter, delicious bites, and making memories with the best El Paso has to offer.
Casa Pantera is known for its steaks, but let me tell you, their sides and seafood are where they truly shine. We couldn’t resist trying their pork chop, which they treat like a steak—so tender, so flavorful. It’s one of those hidden gems on the menu that you just have to try!
Here’s what we ordered:
– Fork & knife caesar
– Wood roasted bone marrow & suadero
– Chilled beets
– Fresh summer truffle whipped potatoes
– Con tamal
– Wood grilled octopus “al pastor”
– Smoked beef short rib “suadero”
– Duroc pork tomahawk & alejandrina’s oaxacan mole
Huge thanks to our friends for joining us tonight. The more connections we make, the better El Paso gets. Cheers to many more nights like this!
