I finally tried out Cajun Crab off Mesa and it was a solid 3 stars.
The service was beyond friendly and the experience was the reason for the stars.
The positives:
-service with a smile
-price (lunch specials are a great deal)
-the food comes out quickly
-decor
-they have gloves, bibs, and wipes
Needs improvement:
-the food lacks flavoring
-the dumplings supposedly had a seafood filling and were housemade. It tasted like a regular pork dumpling and didn't look like it has seafood. Good but not as advertised.
-there aren't any senior, military, or student discounts at this time
I would come back if they improved their food. Otherwise Mac's Downtown has better po' boys and fried oysters and The Boiling Crab has really good Viejun seafood boils.
