The El Paso Border Folk Festival (BFF) is here to showcase the music that makes our border culture unique.
The revered Paso del Norte – El Paso, Juarez and Las Cruces – is home to varieties of cultural experiences, which are often passed down through music, art, food and dance. Whether it’s at a local restaurant enjoying tacos while listening to the harmonies of a mariachi, on the grounds of a kermes watching the rhythmic dance moves of a youth ballet folklorico, or at a dimly lit bar swinging to a jazz combo, this region is sure to quench anyone’s cultural palette.
The El Paso Border Folk Festival (BFF) is here to spotlight and provide a stage to these cultural experiences. The Festival was born of two local mariachi groups – Alegre & Tapatio – with over 20 years of combined musical experience in the region. Together we strive to accomplish our mission to preserve, promote and teach the music of our culture.
