Join us for the first ever Dia de los Muertos daytime event at the El Paso Zoo. This event will serve to celebrate this beloved tradition in our community and honor our loved ones who have passed. This is a celebration of life and we are going to have a great time. This event will be focused in our America's section of the El Paso Zoo.
Dress up in your best Day of the Dead attire!
Guests can dress up and get a chance to win a prize! Our volunteers will be going around signing people up for the contest. Then, meet us at the Splash Pad at 2pm where our judges will vote for the best dressed kiddo and best dressed adult.
Honor your loved ones
In keeping with Dia de los Muertos tradition, we highly encourage guests to bring items, like pictures, of their loved ones who have passed to place on our ofrenda (altar). We will have an ofrenda/ altar in the center of the America's Plaza of the El Paso Zoo.
