Hi Neighbor! PBS El Paso and PNC Grow Up Great invite you to join us at Be My Neighbor Day at ESC Region 19 Head Start for a free fun-filled family event! This event invites kids to learn what it means to be a caring neighbor. Meet your local community helpers, enjoy hands-on activities, and say hello to Daniel Tiger from PBS KIDS show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood!

EVENT DETAILS :
Meet Daniel Tiger :
Families will have a chance to meet and take photos with Daniel Tiger from the PBS Kids show Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood!
Food Drive:
Families attending the event will have the option to bring canned food and perishables that will then be donated to the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. Donation bins will be on site and we will also have options for families to give monetarily.
Dental Health Packets with a kind message:
Each child will have the opportunity to decorate bags, include a message and pack them with dental health tools such as a toothbrush, dental floss, and toothpaste. The bags will be distributed to local shelters.
Thank You Space:
Families will get the opportunity to express their gratitude for community helpers around El Paso. Families will color thank you cards for first responders, hospital workers, postal workers, veterans, sanitation workers and more.
El Paso National Weather Service:
This is a new and exciting partnership for PBS El Paso. The Weather Service will bring their bilingual team to Be My Neighbor Day and will teach weather safety tips to attendees plus provide fun learning games.
First Responders:
Local first responders will attend the event and bring their vehicles, so the kids can explore and learn about safety.
Free Books:
We will be giving away 500 free books on a first come, first serve basis. Children will also have the opportunity to participate in an interactive reading provided by a local community member.
