The free event will include more than 50 wellness exhibitors, live fitness classes, flu shots, raffles, giveaways, food trucks, and more.
“This event was designed to promote fitness and wellness among our SISD employees while encouraging community engagement,” said Alexia Tucker, SISD coordinator of sports program. “Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just starting your fitness journey, the Color 5K/1-mile walk is the perfect opportunity to challenge your colleagues in a fun and supportive environment. The Aetna Health Expo allows our employees to engage with our wellness partners and the services available to support their health needs.”
Please note that the event will lead to temporary road closures for the run/walk beginning at 8 a.m. The closure for the event will begin at the intersection of Southview Dr. and Paseo Del Este Blvd., leading up Paseo Del Este Blvd. and ending at Ampleforth Park. Roads are expected to re-open at about 10:30 a.m., or sooner if participants finish earlier.
