Desert Discovery Day

On December 3rd you are invited to the Asombro Institute for Science Education’s Desert Discovery Day. Walk the new Gateway to the Desert Trail, visit hands-on activity stations to learn more about weather (with special guest, Doppler Dave Speelman from KVIA-TV), desert animals, and tools to help identify plants and animals. Participate in a crowd-sourced, timelapse photo project to monitor a desert restoration project, and complete a scavenger hunt to earn free prizes! The event will be held at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park, 56501 N. Jornada Road just north of Las Cruces. Directions to the park.
