Our 26th Annual Veterans Day Parade and Ceremony will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2022. The parade starts at 9:00 am. The parade staging area is on Thompson Road by the cemetery. The parade will head east on Socorro Road, on to Main Street, then on to Alarcon Road and will end in front of the San Eli Church. The Ceremony will start at 11:00 am at Veterans Memorial Park (la placita). In attendance will be dignitaries, the playing of our national anthem, pledge of allegiance, invocation, introduction of five veteran honorees, the Grand Marshal, the recital of the POW-MIA table ceremony and flag folding ceremony. Our local High School band will play some patriotic songs. The annual San Elizario Veterans Parade and Ceremony in San Elizario, Texas, celebrates the service of past and present military personnel and honors their hard work. The one-day affair features dozens of marching groups, sports cars, vintage vehicles, horseback riders, floats and a ceremony that recognizes the area’s veterans.
