The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is available for free tax preparation in partnership with GECU and the IRS at multiple locations in the El Paso and Las Cruces areas. Services are provided by IRS-certified volunteers.

- Thursdays: 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Saturdays: Feb. 1 from 11 AM – 3 PM

Important Details:
- First come, first served – Space is limited, so plan to arrive early!
- Required Documents:
- ID
- Social Security Card/ITIN
- Last year’s tax return
- Proof of direct deposit
- Tax forms (1095-A, etc.)
- Both spouses must be present if filing jointly
- College students: Know if you’re claimed as a dependent
- Not Supported: Certain tax situations (e.g., Puerto Rico residents, rental/military/farm income, etc.)
