Our personal experience here: Did you know that we have an amazing ranch right here in El Paso called Trail Rides at Taylor Ranch? It's a hidden gem that I stumbled upon on Google maps, and boy, am I glad I did! This place is a hub for horses that supply America's rodeos, and the family who runs it holds some impressive records. How cool is that?

I called them up at 12:30 pm, hoping to book a ride for my two kids, and guess what? They had openings for today! Though they could only accommodate one child at a time, it didn't dampen our spirits. And let me tell you, the experience was worth every penny of the $20 for a 20-minute ride.

The team at Trail Rides in El Paso @ Taylor Ranch was super friendly and welcoming. I was surprised to see two little girls as our guides, but they were absolutely fantastic. My kids felt comfortable right away and chatted away happily as we embarked on our adventure. The guides took us around to see the magnificent cattle, horses, and adorable baby animals. We even got the chance to brush a pony!

During our visit, I had a chance to speak with the owner and learned so much about the ranch. It's a working ranch where they raise cows and steers for rodeos. They have an impressive count of around 100 cows and 40 horses at any given time. We even witnessed a thrilling roundup, and although there was a moment of excitement when one animal escaped, the staff handled it with utmost professionalism. It's truly remarkable that just a short 10-minute drive from the city, you can enter a whole different world.

– Please dress appropriately for the activities, wearing jeans, closed-toe shoes, and shirts.
– New riders must arrive 15 minutes early to sign a waiver. Please be on time, as any lateness will result in time off the lesson or trail.
– There is no public bathroom available at the moment.
– If you need to reschedule, please do so 24 hours in advance to allow us to fill that time. Rescheduling cannot be done 10 minutes before your ride, and no refund will be provided in such cases.
– If you are 15 minutes late without notice, your lesson will be canceled and charged.
– Trail rides and lessons will be canceled in case of bad weather to ensure safety and enjoyment.
– Full-care boarding services are available.
