Oops! Totally forgot to post about yesterday’s Junior Naturalist meeting #3! I was busy cleaning & organizing while hubby took the kids on an adventure.
They came back SO excited! They learned about non-poisonous tree sap & braved a spooky maze (apparently they were too little to remember it from last time ). They also did some bird watching & tons of other fun activities! They loved it even more this time around because of all the interactive stuff.
If you haven’t heard of Keystone Heritage Park & Botanical Garden, it’s a hidden gem in El Paso! It’s an archaeological site, ancient wetlands, & a gorgeous botanical garden all in one. Located in the Upper Valley, this 58-acre park is packed with cool features like a xeric garden, children’s garden, amphitheater, moonlight garden, & ethno-botanical garden.
They have monthly meetings, occasional night markets, & you can explore the gardens & wetlands for just $5! They even host events like weddings & parties. Just a heads up, bring bug spray! It’s a natural wetland environment, so mosquitoes are a thing.
