Montwood High School has earned the National Certificate for STEM Excellence!

Exciting news from El Paso! Montwood High School has earned the National Certificate for STEM Excellence, becoming the first high school in west Texas to achieve this honor!

On January 7, 2025, during a special ceremony hosted by the Socorro Independent School District, representatives from the National Institute for STEM Education presented certificates and a banner to Montwood’s dedicated staff.

This recognition makes Montwood HS the 50th campus in Texas and the 16th high school in the entire nation to receive this prestigious certification.

Kudos to Montwood High School for leading the way in science, technology, engineering, and math education!
