Holy breakfast Batman! 🥞
What an odd and delightful place to have breakfast…and fix your bike? 🚲
The menu is as eclectic as the interior design. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing to find a breakfast burger with a perfect over-easy egg for $10 and French Toast to rival the best brunch places, but it's odd eating it next to 30 bicycles….and bicyclists. 🚴
The owner came by and greeted me like he did others, and offered me a coffee on the house, as it was my first time there and I was waiting for my friend. He said he would make it himself and he went to YouTube university, so it might be just ok. He said he sucked at coffee art so don't expect it. 😂
Honestly, it was a very good caramel coffee, they didn't skimp on quality or quantity and served them in double paned glasses which I love because I don't burn my hands holding hot coffee. ☕
It's a popular place indeed, and he mentioned that he was moving 2 blocks away to a 14k sq ft. building to accommodate more diners. I could see why because as I was leaving the lunch crowd was coming in and there was a huge line out the door. 🙌
The owner is passionate about El Paso and the cycling community, and he mentioned he wanted to build something so that all of the metroplex can see how much he loves El Paso. ♥️
He also petitioned the county commissioners to help him possibly build banked tracks or a velodrome in Ascarate Park. He said it would be the first one in the area and would be amazing for kids and inexperienced bicyclists to learn in a safe area.
I love his vision and I love his food. I'm a fan and I can't wait to take people here; the next time I'm going to try their Monte Cristo (Do you know how hard it is to find a good Monte Cristo outside of Disneyland?? ).
