Roberto Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lower Valley spilled 100,000 gallons of wastewater!

🚨 Today, there was a big spill at the Roberto Bustamante Wastewater Treatment Plant in Lower Valley. They spilled 100,000 gallons of wastewater! 💧😱
The spill occurred at 10:15 AM, but the public wasn’t notified until 5:40 PM—over seven hours later! ⏳ This is worrying, especially for those who use private wells nearby. If you live within half a mile of the spill, please boil your water or use distilled water until it is tested. 🔍💦
Although the city says the drinking water is safe, the long wait to inform everyone raises concerns. We all need to stay safe and informed! 🛑
Additionally, how do we feel about the new Pure Water Center being built next to the treatment plant? This facility will treat wastewater and produce up to 10 million gallons of drinking water per day! 💦🤔
What do you think about the response time? How can we improve communication for emergencies like this? Are you comfortable with the new treatment plant’s goal to turn wastewater into drinkable water? Let’s talk! ⬇️🗣️
