Guiding Star El Paso will be giving out free diapers, wipes and other essentials to local families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The giveaway event will be held on Jan. 20 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Socorro.
All parents of children 36 months (3 years) and younger, as well as pregnant women, are eligible to receive free diapers and other material assistance from Guiding Star El Paso.
Items will be available for pickup at Iglesia Corona de Vida located at 251 Horizon Blvd.
“The COVID-19 crisis has brought great challenges to many of our local pregnant mothers and young families,” Executive Director for Guiding Star El Paso Nydia Correa said. “We are doing everything we can to make sure these women, men, and families are empowered with the essential support and items they need to continue being heroes to their children during these unprecedented times.”
The Women’s Resource Medical Center, a e 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is helping provide the items.
