Important Update: The Trusted Traveler Program at U.S. military bases, including Fort Bliss, has been suspended following recent incidents in Las Vegas and New Orleans.
What’s Changed?
Previously, this program allowed vetted Defense Department personnel to bring guests onto bases without hassle. Now, anyone without a Defense Department ID must visit the visitor center with their sponsor to obtain a visitor pass for entry.
What to Expect:
Delays at entry gates.
Random inspections.
Stricter security protocols across all military installations nationwide, including Fort Bliss.
While there are no specific threats to military facilities at this time, these measures have been put in place to prioritize safety.
Key Reminder:
If you’re a civilian without a DoD ID, don’t forget to get your visitor pass!
Stay safe, patient, and vigilant!
