Where do your Tax Dollars go?

🗳️ Who Controls Your Tax Dollars? Follow the Money! 💰🏫
Did you know that EPISD gets the largest share of your property taxes—43%? That’s nearly half of your tax dollars funding local schools! But where does that money go?
📊 Here’s What We’ve Learned:
💼 El Paso County school districts have 26,300 employees (full & part-time).
💰 386 administrators are paid over $100,000 per year.
📉 But not a single teacher is among the top 472 highest-paid employees at EPISD.
📉 Not one teacher is in the top 342 highest-paid at Ysleta ISD.
🤔 Why are administrators making six figures while our teachers struggle? This is why school board elections matter—they decide how your tax dollars are spent!
📆 Important Dates:
✔️ Jan. 15 – Feb. 14: Candidates can file to run.
✔️ April 3: Last day to register to vote.
✔️ April 22 – April 29: Early voting period.
✔️ May 3: Election Day!
📍 Seats Up for Election:
🔹 EPISD: Districts 1, 3, 4, & 5
🔹 SISD: Districts 2, 3, 4, & 5
🔹 YISD: Districts 1, 3, 5, & 7
The school board decides who gets paid what and where your money goes. It’s time to demand transparency and fairness for our teachers and students!
