NOT TXDOT, EL PASO ELECTRIC this time.
Heads up, folks! I-10 is gonna be shut down overnight in far east El Paso!
El Paso Electric (EPE) is gonna do their thing and close a chunk of Interstate 10 (I-10) overnight. So, from 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, to 6:00 a.m. on Friday, February 9, both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10, as well as Gateway Boulevards East and West, will be affected. Why? Well, EPE needs to extend their power lines across I-10.
Now, for your safety and everyone's sanity, please follow the detour signs and respect the construction barricades. The cool peeps from the El Paso Police Department, Texas Department of Transportation, and Apache Barricade will be there to help you out with the closures and traffic detours.
Here are the deets for the overnight closure:
Date: Thursday, February 8 – Friday, February 9
Time: 9:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.
And here's where the closure will be goin' down:
Both eastbound and westbound lanes of I-10 between Loop 375 and Horizon Blvd.
Gateway Blvd. West between Nonap Rd. and Eastlake Blvd.
Gateway Blvd. East between Nuevo Hueco Tanks and N. Moon Rd.
Don't forget, peeps! Stick to the detour signs and show some love to those construction barricades. Safety first, y'all!
